Ashaiman-Ghana, April 29, CDA Consult – Zainab Mohammed, Ashaiman Constituency Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is dead, after a brief illness. She was 34 years old.
Zainab Mohammed was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs and traditions.
After the burial ceremony, Mr. Ernest Henry Norgbey, Member of Parliament for Ashaiman Constituency, told reporters in Ashaiman that the death of the Constituency Communication Officer stunned him.
Accepting the facts of how a prospective politician’s life ended so abruptly was still difficult for him, he said.
Filling the void left by her passing, he says, will be difficult, and the Ashaiman Constituency of the NDC will remember Zainab’s contributions for the rest of their lives.
He urged all party members to uphold Zainab’s beliefs and honesty.
Zainab Mohammed worked with the NDC in a variety of capacities before her death, including Branch Executive, Constituency Deputy Communications Officer, Substantive Constituency Communication Officer, and Regional Communication team member.
Officials from the NDC’s National, Regional, Constituency, and Branch Executives paid their respects to the late Zainab’s family and the Ashaiman Constituency NDC brotherhood.
Mr. Samuel Gyamfi, NDC National Communications Officer, praised the late Zainab for her dedication and loyalty to the party while working at the late communications officer’s residence.
Mr. Gyamfi went on to say that the NDC will honour late comrade Zainab before assuming political power, adding that the party would work with the family.
The NDC National Communications Officer asked party supporters in Ashaiman to utilise the Communications Officer’s death to foster peace and unity in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
Mr. Gyamfi stated that the NDC has lost a good individual, especially in the Ashaiman Constituency, as the party prepares for the 2024 elections, adding that love and togetherness must prevail in Ashaiman since it is what Zainab stood for.
He contended that people’s impact while alive was more significant than how long they lived on Earth. ‘Good people don’t live long,’ they say.
