Sefwi Bodi (W/N)-Ghana Nov. 13, GNA – Mr Michael Aidoo, the incumbent Western North Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has retained his position.
He polled 176 votes to beat Mr Jerry Kankam, who had 128 votes, at the regional delegates conference held at Bodi in the Western North Region.
David Koah won the first Vice Chairman position with 145 votes, while Henry Rokeffella had 92 votes to get the Second Vice position, beating David Darko, who had 66.
George Ofori Daquah, the incumbent secretary, retained his position with 184 votes, while Stephen Donkor had 71, and Jacob Oware, 49.
Jerome Sam maintained his position as the communication officer with 182 votes, against 123 garnered by Clement Ohene Asare.
The Organiser position went to Robert kofi Agyekum with 181 votes, beating two other contenders; Peter Nkuah and Sumalia Ibrahim, while Frederick Asante was elected the Youth Organiser.
Mr Aidoo, the Regional Chairman, commended the 335 delegates for their peaceful campaigns and support and promised to work with all the executives, both winners and losers, to win the parliamentary seats in the region as well as the presidential race.
“No one is a loser and a winner. It is the party NDC that has won in the region,” he added.
Mr Sampson Ahi, the Member of Parliament for Bodi, advised party faithful to work hard in their various constituencies to help bring victory in 2024.
