Accra-Ghana, Oct. 31, GNA – Nora Hauptel, Head Coach of Ghana’s Black Queens says her side is committed to secure a place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Ghana has an advantage going into the second round of the qualifiers against Benin after winning the first leg encounter by three unanswered goals in Cotonou.
Going into the return leg, the Swiss gaffer said her ladies would go all out to hand their opponents a convincing defeat to sail through to the next stage.
“We are a very hungry team hoping to go through and determination demands from us to improve our performance so all the time we are working on individual positioning and today it is a bit more about tactical setting,” she said.
She noted that despite her side’s perfect form, it was important to put in more effort to seal their campaign on a good note.
The 40-year-old said the Black Queens are ready to overcome the tactical plan of their opponents.
Nora Hauptel has been unbeaten since taking charge of the senior side, with a record of eight straight wins, netting 29 goals and conceding zero.
Ghana eliminated Guinea in the first round of the qualifiers, and are on the verge of making history once again against Benin.
The Black Queens would take on their West African counterparts at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday October 31, 2023.
