Accra-Ghana, Nov. 14, GNA – The Management of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) says it has reached an agreement with Tiger Eye for the airing of its undercover investigative piece dubbed “Galamsey Economy” at the AICC as scheduled.
A statement signed by Madam Vivian K. A. Asempapa, Director, AICC on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and copied to the Ghana News Agency said their attention had been drawn to reports that an advertised event due to take place at the AICC by Tiger Eye was moved from their venue.
The statement was in response to an earlier statement issued by Tiger Eye titled “Galamsey Economy AICC prevents Tiger Eye from using venue for public showing”.
The Foreign Ministry’s statement said: “The initial conclusion was due to a scheduling conflict at the level of the AICC staff and not in any way a political decision as been speculated.”
“The matter has been resolved. We have made contact with the organisers and the event is expected to come off as scheduled.”
