Tema-Ghana, Jan. 16, MNN – The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Redemption Congregation at Tema Community Nine has launched its annual ‘Greater Life Conference’ with a call on Christians to be spiritually rooted in Christ.
The Reverend Samuel Anang Ofoli, Minister-in-charge of PCG, Redemption Congregation launched the two-week conference on the theme, “Fruitfulness” with a scriptural quotation from Jeremiah 17:5-7 as the anchor.
At the launch which was monitored by Myliberty News Network (MNN), Rev. Ofoli said the most important part of Christianity is to have spiritual roots in Christ by abiding in him; adding that with such deep spiritual rooting, Christians would be able to stay fresh and be fruitful in all their undertakings.
He encouraged Christians not to contaminate themselves with the things of the world reminding them that God has given them a two-way choice between good and evil.
According to him, God’s blessings were on those who obey him and meditate upon his word and explained that fruitfulness emanated from creation as God commissioned men to be fruitful right from then.
Giving a background of the Greater Life Conference Rev. Ofoli said it was initiated to help preserve people’s Christian life through spiritual nourishment, and abundance.
It also seeks to give Christians the opportunity to reflect on the goodness of God in their life for the past year, while focusing on his grace to achieve their resolutions for the year.
Rev. Ofoli said the Greater Life Conference would also provide the opportunity for the church to bring people to the saving knowledge of Christ.
