Tema-Ghana, July 30, GNA – Nat Abbey, a gospel reggae icon, has produced a new tune named “Hanukkah,” which attempts to encourage Christians to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, as God has commanded them to be, even in the face of persecution.
Mr. Abbey, also known as Arootical in the music industry, told the Ghana News Agency in Tema that Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, commemorates the Jewish Maccabees’ triumph over the Greek army and the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
He said the song represented the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and freedom over oppression, and that it would be motivating and uplifting, reminding us of the necessity of hope and faith in Christ.
