The event was supported by Nii Lartei Nokoyedzen II, the Chief of the community, and Naa Nyonmo Wor Ko I, the Queenmother, a statement issued by the Club and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said.
“Their contributions include financial and logistical support such as providing the venue, canopies, tables, and chairs, which were instrumental in the success of the initiative” the statement said.
The Lions Club International, renowned for its global commitment to humanitarian service, played a pivotal role in organising the health screening, which aligned with its mission to serve communities and address critical health needs.
“The comprehensive health screening covered services such as random blood sugar, malaria and eye screening, typhoid fever testing, and blood pressure monitoring,” it said.
“Over 150 community members participated, receiving medications based on their diagnoses. The event spanned more than seven hours, with a dedicated medical team providing thorough and compassionate care.”
