Dr Amanquah, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, emphasised that the project, which is being funded by the Government of Ghana, was a significant infrastructure that would enhance socio-economic development within the Kpone-Katamanso and Ningo-Prampram Districts.
He stated that the road, when completed, would not only boost inter-district connectivity but also ease the perennial gridlock along the Tema-Aflao Highway.
“This road project will provide an alternative route for commuters, reducing travel time and improving productivity,” he noted.
The MCE further noted that, “With smoother transportation and improved accessibility, we expect increased trade, business growth, and overall economic development in both districts.”
He also gave the assurance that the 7.2-kilometre Kpone-Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) road project was ongoing and would soon be commissioned for use.
He called on drivers and other road users to cooperate with the authorities for the project to be executed within the stipulated time.
The Kpone-Prampram road project is part of a broader government initiative to enhance infrastructure and promote regional integration.
Residents and businesses in the area are optimistic about its potential to transform local economies and improve livelihoods.
