The contesting schools included; KASEC Model JHS, Kadjebi E.P Central JHS, Kadjebi R.C JHS and Anthony Educational Complex JHS.
Speaking at the programme held at the Kadjebi District Assembly Hall, Mr. Daniel Agbesi Latsu, Kadjebi District Director of the NCCE, said as part of the Commission’s strategy to make the Independence Day celebration more memorable, a Constitution Game Quiz competition was organized across the country.
He said the Constitution Game Quiz was an important strategy and tool for creating an awareness of the main values of democracy governance, imparting the spirit of patriotism and enhancing citizens’ participation in governance.
Mr. Latsu said the contest also sought to get the learners better understand the contents of the 1992 Constitution, while having fun.
Mr. Seth Seyram Deh, Kadjebi District Director of Education, in a remark, said in every contest there must be a winner and loser.
He urged the teachers of the participation school to take a cue from the contest and prepare their students for future competition.
At the end of the contest, KASEC Model JHS won with 51 marks, Kadjebi R.C JHS secured the second position with 49 marks, Kadjebi E.P Central JHS had 46 to place the third position with Anthony Educational Complex JHS fourth with 44 marks.
All participants took home exercise books, note books, a Mathematical set, and a school bag, while the first and second run-up schools had a copy of the 1992 Constitution.
The event was on the theme: “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility.”
