Master Agbozo-Ayeh’s win makes St. Dominic R/C Basic School two-time winners of the competition.
In 2023, Griffith Nana Osafo Brako, a former student of the school, also won the competition.
Speaking to the media after receiving his award, Master Agbozo-Ayeh noted that hardwork and perseverance were the secrets to his achievement.
The competition, he said, had enabled him to develop the culture of reading wide about different topics and encouraged young people to also take part in it to build their vocabulary and writing skills.
Nine others also took home awards for being part of the top 10.
Ms Hannah Acheampong Amoah, Editor, Junior Graphic, called on schools, teachers and parents to ensure that pupils took part in the competition to improve their writing and reading skills.
She said the Junior Graphic was introduced with the objective of helping to build the reading habits and writing skills in children, hence the Essay Competition was designed in line with that objective.
Mr Enoch Vanderpuye, the Country Team Lead, Marketing and Communication, FirstBank Ghana, said the Bank was pleased to partner the Essay Competition because it fell in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility agenda of empowering people and supporting communities.
Mr Courage Kudo, Brands Manager, Peeva Beverages, said reading and writing were important in every child’s life, hence the reason his organisation sponsored the programme.
He said the sponsorship was its contribution to ensuring that the next generation of Ghanaians was well equipped for life.
