Some natives of Jamdede, a farming town, have raised concerns about the sale of the 10-acre land allocated by the community for the construction of a Police headquarters in the area, alleging the chief’s involvement in the sale of portions of the land.
Estate developers have encroached on portions and started putting up unauthorized structures and buildings on the land.
However, addressing a news conference in the town, Nana Agyei II insisted he had no knowledge about the sale of the land, and called for investigations and to bring the perpetrators to book.
The chief said he was worried about the condition of the police personnel posted there who did not have accommodation and thereby impeding their work, stressing the importance of providing them with accommodation and offices to enhance their operations.
Nana Agyei II also expressed concern about the deplorable roads in the area and called on the government to improve it and facilitate the movements of the people and their economic activities.
