Tamale-Ghana, Nov. 14, GNA – “There is no economist anywhere who can get the world out of this challenging and difficult situation, only God can deliver us”, Right Reverend Dennis Debukari Tong, Bishop of the Anglican Dioceses of Tamale has said.
He said the tough times the world found itself could be likened to the situation of Israelites in Egypt, per the Bible’s account and the world needed the deliverance of God from evil circumstances, saying “we need to pray and cry to God as the Israelites did in Egypt”.
The bishop made the statement as part of his sermon, delivered to the Churches in the Diocese.
He preached on the theme: “The Promise of Redemption, Moses”.
He stated that the theme was appropriate for the world, and Ghana especially, considering the challenges confronting the citizens.
Bishop Tong expressed faith in God’s ability to redeem the world, adding that God needed the cooperation of humans, to work to bring the needed relief.
He noted that reading from Hebrew, Exodus, and John, which are books in the Bible pointed to the fact that there were sufferings, adding that despite the struggles militating against humanity, God can save humanity.
