Bediako (Kpone), Dec. 20, – Mr. Isaac Newton Tetteh a Stringer at the Ghana News Agency Tema Regional Office has retained his seat as the assembly member for Mlitsakpo Electoral Area within the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality.
Mr Tetteh obtained 606 out of the 1,317 valid votes casts. The total number of votes cast was 1,347, and 30 rejected ballot papers.
Five unit committee members were also elected out of ten candidates who contested, the elected included Estella D. A. Adzokatse with 832 votes, Gabriel Tei Amanor with 734 votes, Prince Paul Zokah with 718 votes, Richard Ohene with 594 votes, and Richmond Kisseh Adolpleh with 636 votes, respectively.
In an interview Mr. Tetteh, the elected assembly member for the Mlitsakpo Electoral Area, expressed his gratitude to the electorates and promised to continue his good work for the development of the electoral area.
Mr. Tetteh added that his agenda is development-based and urged all to come together to build the community with unity.
Ms. Estella Adzorkatse, the current unit committee member for the Mlitsakpo Electoral Area, also pledged to support the assembly member and promised to work on a community crèche institution, the building of public toilets, and nurturing women into making local spices, among others, to help reduce unemployment rates.
She reiterated that she has worked really hard to win this position, despite some challenges she encountered during her campaign as a female.
Mr. Richard Ohene, also a selected unit committee member, acknowledged all who voted for him to win this position; therefore, he would help to promote sanitation in the electoral area.
Mr. Noah Lamptey, a resident, noted that the retained assembly member had worked hard for the past four years of development in the electoral area, which included the installation of street lights and engaging in communal labour, among others; therefore, he should continue his good deeds.
