Accra-Ghana, July 21, GNA – The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation’s (GNPC) Foundation will hand over a newly constructed artificial turf to the people of Adenta on Friday, July 21, 2023.
This commissioning forms part of GNPC’s Corporate Social Responsibility and also complements government efforts to provide sporting facilities across the
regions.
The facility, which is yet to be unveiled, comes with a pitch dimension of 96×66 metres, wire fencing, and flood lights.
Dr. Dominic Eduah, Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, would spearhead the commissioning of the projects, with other dignitaries, including the Member of Parliament of Adenta Mohammed Adamu Ramadan, expected to grace the occasion.
Over the past few years, the GNPC Foundation has constructed more than 30 artificial turf facilities across the country, as well as more than 140 classroom blocks for basic and senior high schools.
It has also funded the construction of more than 86 sanitary facilities in communities, schools, and markets across the country, and 32 community pitches have been developed into standard astroturf facilities across Ghana for the youth.”
