Speaking at the event, Mr. Emmanuel Geadda Asando, National President of GHAPROHA, emphasized the importance of unity among members to overcome challenges in the industry. He noted that collaboration and shared efforts were key to strengthening the hospitality sector and ensuring its survival amid economic uncertainties.
Mr Asando further added that electricity and water supply remain a vital commodity to sustain the hotel and hospitality business, stressing that constant hikes in the cost of these services affected their business and called on the Public Utility and Regulatory Committee (PURC) to intervene
He further reiterated GHAPROHA’s readiness to support the government’s 24-hour economy policy, stating, “Our association stands prepared to align with this initiative, as it presents opportunities for growth in the hospitality business and the broader tourism industry.”
Mr. Charles Adu Gyamfi, President of the Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF), also stressed the need to sustain the hospitality business through innovative strategies and effective membership engagement.
“Our industry plays a vital role in Ghana’s economic development. To remain relevant, we must strengthen our membership base and adapt to global trends while supporting government policies that promote business continuity,” he said.
The meeting provided a platform for members to reflect on achievements, deliberate on challenges, and outline strategies for growth in the coming years.
Participants also used the occasion to network and foster stronger bonds within the hospitality community.
