The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will hold a four-day Club Licensing Regional Workshop at the Kempinski Hotel ,Gold Coast City Accra from Monday, May 20 to Thursday, May 24, 2024.
The 15 participating Member Associations include host Ghana, Egypt, Nigeria, Eritrea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Botswana, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Sao Tome and Principe as well as Clubs in the Ghana Premier League, the Division One League and the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League.
The workshop in Accra is the final stretch of the Club Licensing Regional Workshops across Africa, following a similar exercise in Mauritania, Algeria and Ethiopia.
The general objectives of the workshop is to provide update on the usage of the Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP) for the Club Licensing procedure and to review the status of the implementation of the Club Licensing system in the Member Association’s national competitions.
This workshop also provides an excellent platform for Member Associations to come together and share best practices, implementation methods, successes, and challenges as well as to discuss next goals regarding the Club Licensing system.
President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, Club Licensing Committee Chairman, Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh and his Committee Members, former CAF Deputy General Secretary, Anthony Baffoe and other distinguished guests will be in attendance.
The Club Licensing Regional Workshop in Accra is under the supervision of Muhammed Sidat, the Head of Professional Football for CAF.
