Ada-Ghana, Nov. 5, GNA – Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has won the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary in the Ada Constituency with 275 votes, while Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyepong polled 190 votes.
Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto had 19 votes, and Mr Fransis Addai-Nimoh had zero.
A total of 484 votes were cast, with two rejected at the Presby Boys Boarding School polling station at Big Ada.
Mr Godwin Agudey, presiding member of the constituency, described the election as smooth and commended the delegate for conducting themselves well.
“If we should give a score of zero to 100 percent, I’ll say 99 percent because everything was beautiful, the delegates behaved so well.”
“There was no acrimony or misunderstanding, and the agents of the two candidates were cooperative, so the police didn’t have any work to do.”
