In his address at the end of year 2024 Regional Coordinating Council meeting, Reverend Owoo emphasised unity and teamwork among council members, stressing that a collective effort was necessary to achieve the council’s goals and set the stage for an even more successful and prosperous 2025.
He said working together, the Council members could build on the progress made so far, address any outstanding challenges and create a solid foundation for future development initiatives in the Oti Region.
Reverend Owoo commended departments that submitted quarterly reports on time, and said the achievement was particularly notable as it aligns with the requirements outlined in the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) specifically section 79.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), he said the acknowledgement of served as an exemplification to the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance.
He said timely submission of quarterly reports demonstrated its dedication to upholding the principles of effective public administration.
He said recognising the best performing department would motivate other departments within the ORCC to strive for excellence in their reporting obligations, contributing to improved governance and development outcomes in the Oti Region.
