Tema-Ghana, Sept. 26, – Mr. Ian Tabalor Okwei, Chief Executive Officer of Big Joe Organic Waakye and Big Joe Gardens, has launched the 2023 Tema Corporate and Business Network hangout session.
It serves as a platform that assembles all businesses in the Tema Region and beyond under one umbrella for a collective goal.
According to Mr. Okwei, the main emphasis of the initiative is to connect all businesses, entrepreneurs, services, and products in a climate of innumerable hospitality and to leverage opportunities that are linked to the network.
The 2023 Tema corporate and business network’s hangout was organised at the Big Joe’s Gardens in Tema with the already existing 28 companies, where each member took the opportunity to market and showcase their products and services.
Mr. Okwei, who is also the Protocol and Administrative Officer at TDC Development Company Limited, said the networking platform is targeted at creating a formidable network where all registered members can trade among themselves and involve themselves with others for mutual gains.
“We will also be able to offer each other guidance if one of us is experiencing difficulties by sharing expertise and abilities that will improve the collective goal”.
“On its first anniversary, it registered 28 businesses, and what it intends to do is have a harmonious system of doing things together and take advantage of everything that comes from government institutions and the private sector”, he added.
He said every policy that exists or is newly implemented will be collectively assessed to see how it will affect them positively or negatively for them to also make their stands known.
The Organic Waakye Seller disclosed that the business network plans to start looking for young entrepreneurs to act as a source of inspiration or support for them.
As a network, they are currently operating without any financial assistance, but once the network has been formally launched, they want to start reaching out to statutory entities to ensure that they get them on board.
Mr. Okwei encouraged businesses and companies to join the Tema Business and Corporate Network so that they could work together to create an institution, adding that since entrepreneurs are the backbone of every economy, it is necessary to have a unified platform to be able to speak with authority.
He also invited people who are working with other organisations and conducting side business to join.
Mr. Joshua Sena Fianu, Chief Executive Officer of Jofise Aquatic and Furniture, who is in modern furniture and aquariums, lauded the idea and said that it will grant his company the opportunity to expose his works to the wider world and what he’s capable of and planning to do.
Mr. Fianu said he’s optimistic about the network’s growth because he joined after its first year, trusted Ian, knew his things were exquisite, and called on businesses to get together, share ideas, and form partnerships.
Other companies showed excitement and called on institutions and businesses to take advantage.
